It's a lot cuter to see a coyote skidding across the ice in Central Park and dodging New Yorkers on something closer to its natural home turf... but the recent coyote sightings on the streets of Manhattan are just, well, depressing.
Yesterday a coyote reportedly emerged from the Holland Tunnel, made its way to Warren and Greenwich Streets, headed south on Varick and all the while was being chased by The Man. As of last night the wiley one was yet to be captured and still on the run—last seen around Church Street just before 6 p.m. Eyewitness News has footage of the poor frightened-looking animal and its escape from the NYPD:
One witness told the Post, "I thought it was a little wolf...It looked scared," while another liked the show, "It was funny how the cops couldn't catch him."
