Video: Bush Shakes Haitian's Hand, Wipes on Clinton

Hooo boy. Former President's Bill Clinton and George W. Bush made their first joint visit to Haiti this week to help with the relief effort in Port-Au-Prince. But while the two of them shook hands with a local crowd, Bush looks at his hand, wipes it on Clinton's shirt and then turns away from the crowd (money shot at around 0:13). Clinton doesn't seem to notice, and continues shaking hands and taking pictures with the crowd while Bush presumably runs back to his convoy to administer a cootie shot. [Via Mediaite]

The former president is known for his germaphobia, to take the charitable view. During his first meeting with then-Senator Obama, Bush immediately had an aide squirt "a big dollop of hand sanitizer" into his hands after the two men shook.

I'm no fan of GBII but, in this case, I'd like to see the two of them in Haiti a few years from now. Maybe under a "mission accomplished" banner! Two Presidents with dramatically different fans will certainly help keep the disaster down there in the news and that means $.

Also the humor in this post don't make the video better. It is damn funny, just post it, tell me what to look for and leave the "Hooo boy" and "cootie shot" stuff out. If you really want to mock his wipe and hint at his reputation for being a dimwit you should point out it probably didn't leave him cleaner or sanitized. I'll try it....

Bush thinks he accomplished his sanity mission by wiping his hand on Bill, but in reality it's insanity to think this is "mission accomplished."
