Last Night's Action: A Rare Upset

  • Knicks 109, Nuggets 104: Every once in a while in the NBA, a terrible team beats a good one. This was one of those times. Danilo Gallinari took it to Carmelo Anthony, scoring 17 of his 28 points in the third quarter. The Knicks got the benefit of some dubious calls down the stretch, but every team deserves a break. David Lee had 12 points and 16 rebounds. The Knicks trailed, 14-2, at one point but still rallied to win.

  • Devils 6, Blue Jackets 3: So much for the Devils' power-play woes. They scored six goals, two of them on the power play, to give Martin Brodeur his 40th win this season. The Devils entered the game having gone six games without a power-play goal. They had been 0-for-17 with the man advantage.
