Brooklyn Bridge Jumper Released From Hospital

jumperbkbridge0310.jpg Susan Cloud, the 41-year-old woman who jumped off the Brooklyn Bridge on Monday, was said to be in critical condition yesterday—but now the Daily News reports that after just 11 hours at Bellevue Hospital, she's been released. Cloud is homeless, and reportedly has a history of psychiatric problems—in fact, she had attempted to jump off the bridge just over 11 hours earlier on Monday, but was rescued by the Emergency Service Unit before she got a chance. Due to privacy laws, the hospital will not say why she was not kept for further observation.

  • Christ, she wants to die. Just let her. What do you bet she heads right back to the bridge to do it again. Ever notice it's always a mentally ill person who pushes someone in front of trains and stabs people randomly? Shoots cops? There's no money in this state to treat them. So let them die if they want to.

It's a miracle. When you have no insurance, you get better faster.
