Justin Bieber Breaks Teen Girl's Heart on The View

032310bieber1.jpg We tried our best to bury our heads in the sand on this Justin Bieber... thing, but this is just something we're going to have to come to terms with, like shingles and Uggs. The young recording artist, who has previously caused mass hysteria in shopping malls, is all over Manhattan this week; according to his Twitter (which we don't follow obsessively or anything) he's appearing on BET's show 106 and Park today and Letterman's show tonight. Yesterday Bieber was charming Barbara Walters on The View, but outside the studio one teen's whole entire life was RUINED when she couldn't get in to watch the taping. We know this because the girl's mother sent us an outraged e-mail, with the subject title, "ABC's the View leaves Justin Bieber's teenaged fans out in the cold!!!!" Hope you've got a box of tissues ready, because this one's a tearjerker:

Shame on ABC's the View! I arrived at the View with my teenaged daughter and her friend on Sunday evening at 10:00 pm. The girls were so excited that they were the first ones on line. We were there to get standby tickets for The View for Justin Bieber for Monday's show. We spent a total off 15 hours in front of The View, overnight in the cold, and all morning in the pouring rain. At 8am an intern came out and divided the line in two, one for ticket holders and one for standby tickets. We were given standby ticket numbers 1, 2, and 3 and were told to come back at 9:30 am. The intern started to let the ticket holders in, keep in mind that almost all of the ticket holders were middle aged women who didn't even know who Justin Bieber was, and watched people being let in because they were "on the list" ie: "they knew someone"

What kind of sick world do we live in where people with inside connections get preferential treatment? And it gets worse for our heroes:

At 10:30 am we were told that they would not be honoring any standby tickets because they had enough of an audience in the studio already and not to even bother coming for the next day's show (Justin Bieber was going to be at the View for two consecutive days, Monday and Tuesday 3/22 and 3/23). What???????? So the studio is filled with middle aged women, who don't even know who Justin Bieber is, who just turned 16, and they aren't going to let any of his teenaged fans into the studio?

My daughter and her friend started crying and one of the workers from the View said "now don't start crying, shouldn't you be in school anyway???" Unbelievable!! Ok, now to add insult to injury, I took the girls around the back to see if they could at least see him when he was leaving the show, stood in the pouring rain from 10:30am to 1:00 pm, his black van rolled out of the View about 1:00 pm, and he didn't even roll down the window to wave at the girls who were standing in the pouring rain to get a glimpse of him!!

And today, our tipster could barely contain her rage, when she "watched the View and they had a recap of yesterday's show with Justin Bieber. They showed Miley Cyrus with a little girl, clearly not '16 years of age or older' as they say their policy is... I guess their 'age policy' only applies to the fans waiting on standby, not for those who have a 'connection.' Very unfair." You know, there aren't enough teary-eyed emoticons in the world to express our dismay over this tale of elitism and injustice. We're tempted to boycott both The View and Justin Bieber, but, to be honest, we're not quite prepared to make that great a sacrifice.

Get a life! He isn't god. Justin Beaver is just a lame singer.

  • i agree. i think the life of a famous would be hell. you dont have any privacy, you wont know who your real friends are, you constantly being stabbed with rude comments, your friends may get made fun of if the other person hates you. and you hardly see you family and friends. this kid is just a regular boy with feelings and talent. we shouldn't try to break him down because he has a hard enough life, instead we should encourage him to reach for the sky and if he's good enough he'll stay famous. if you dont like JB then why do you follow pages like this, people always complain about how he hurts their ears, what i wanna know is why they listen to him and why they always talk about him, to me that just says their jealous because they have talent but didn't make it when he did, or that they have no talent and have been rejected for performances and since hes the newest star they blame him. we dont know anything about this boy except what the news tells us and usually they only find the dirt on him. I MYSELF AM NOT A FAN. IM NOT RELIGOUS OR ANYTHING but i do believe that we shouldn't label him. imagine if it was you up there, you finally made it and you love performing but you are constantly being made fun of because people dont understand how much this means to you. you could have been abuses by your parents but when you became famous they finally stopped. can you imagine how good that would feel? we dont know whats really going on behind the cameras so stop trying to kill famous people.

It's bc we have preteen sisters and preteen daughters who listen to him everyday.so much infact we can't even take it.so we go to places like these and let it all out.I mean we most of us don't really hate him it's just that we are tired of him.

Well I look at it this way. Justin is just a human, and a kid at that. The kid is dragged from one concert to another, with screaming prepubescent little girls who snag at his clothing, and at his hair and scream and cry as if the kid were God. We all know he isn't God, He has a lot of talent I would have to say, and from what I understand has done a lot of good as well from visiting kids in the hospital, to earning money for third world countries, and the list goes on. I hate to also say that the kid does not own his own time. He is a puppet in a puppeteer show and does what he is told to do and rarely has the right to make decisions for himself. I am sure if I were this young girl who waited for hours in the rain I would be highly disappointed as well, but not mad enough to blame him for what happen. I have an eleven year old who thinks he places the stars in the sky. But I always tell her if by chance you ever see him on the street take a moment before you scream and realize that he eats, hurts, puts his pants on like you and the last thing he needs or wants is screaming and chasing. Give him space, and if it's meant to happen then it will happen. Put the shoe on the other foot, this kid isn't playing all day he must really get tired of playing a role at times and more then likely misses his family and friends at home.

The mom's just having a tissy fit she didn't get to see the Beav. She's using her daughter and her friend as an excuse. It should have been apparent as she was dressed in cheesy leopard outfit. Can you say Cougar?!

  • bla bla bla, justin beber bla bla bla.

  • Justin Bieber is the "I want my two dollars" paper kid from Better Off Dead

As someone pointed out in another article about this vaporous tween warbler, what is it? He's taking sexual ambiguity to a whole new level.

Seriously though, what is this teaching these young girls? That it's perfectly normal to forgo your education to stand out in the rain, hoping for a fleeting glimpse of some here-today-gone-tomorrow completely-fabricated-wanna-be-singer on a show with a bunch of propped-up and vapid blabbermouths - without any tickets? You might've garnered a few more sympathy points if you had waited that long WITH SOME ACTUAL TICKETS!

Lady, I find it unbelievable that you a.) willingly sent this to the gothamist and b.) that you actually believed anyone would feel sorry for you or the two young ladies destined to follow in your very shallow footsteps.

Okay, Mom, so just so I have this story straight: you let your teenage daughter stand out in the elements overnight, you apparently didn't understand the concept of STANDBY tickets, you took umbrage when a worker pointed out, correctly, that your kid was skipping school, and you think THE SHOW was the problem?!

First, anyone can get tickets to The View, it's not about being connected. You can find that out in ten seconds if you read their website. Second, standby tickets are just that; you're neither entitled nor guaranteed to get in. Third, instead of putting your daughter through this sort of nonsense, just pony up the money for tickets to see this teenybopper loser in concert.

Okay okay mom calm down. I feel your pain. I don't like Justin Beber or anything but back in the day I was a HUGE NSYNC fan. My cousin and I made our moms do riduclous things with us to meet them/see them. I remember the day No Strings Attached came out and the Virgin Mega Store down in Time Sqaure was having a signin but only the first few hundred or so were allowed to get a pass. Of course we were not nearly there early enough to get in. We stood on line anyway and people were nuts once the doors opened. Girls were pushing each other online and all this crazy shit. No never got to meet NSYNC and there was that one time they did the Lighting of the Rockerfeller Tree and made my mom take me to see them. Dear god what we put our own mothers through. I understand her frustrations. I give her a lot of credit like I did with my mom for putting up with this crazy fandom. The mom of course was upset because she wants to make her daughter happy. I think my mom was more upset about me not meeting NSYNC then I was. Life isn't fair and you're not always going to get what you want and thats a good lesson for these tweens to learn now anyway. But mom calm down they were standby tix and of course ppl that know someone on the inside is going to get in. Sucks. But thats how it works.

Do you realize you're repeating the cycle?

Yours is such a tragic story. I feel deeply for the pain you put your mother through, but telling your story I hope others will understand that most of those teen idols grow up to be total flops.

Remember David Cassidy? Ask your mother she should know.

His hair makes him look like a cica 1960's Girl Friday. Or a burnette version of Twiggy (sans mascara.)

"We spent a total of 15 hours in front of The View, overnight in the cold, and all morning in the pouring rain."

How do you hold urine for 15 hours? My max was 5. That's before I turned 30. So, is it easier to "wet your pants/skirts" in the rain because no one can tell it is urine ? What do they do for No. 2? Did they bring a bucket to sit on ?

  • Perhaps they had empty soda cups to pee in - and they just held in their shit.
