Pepper The Parrot Gone Missing On UWS

lazysundayparrot.jpg Ready to find yet another missing parrot? Last year a man captured an escaped macaw in Midtown; earlier this year a woman was reunited with her bird Gracie, who flew the coop in Park Slope; and now, Pepper the pet parrot has gone missing!

The Upper West Sider took off yesterday afternoon—his owner Tommy Evans, 55, told the Post his brother's dog knocked over Pepper's cage on the 14th floor terrace, giving the Black Cap Conure its first taste of sweet, sweet freedom.

Evans chased his feathered friend down the streets, last spotting him on a tree branch around West 93rd Street and Columbus, but he's yet to capture him. He'll be back on the hunt today, and says Pepper is smart enough not to leave the neighborhood.

So Upper West Side residents, Evans asks you to keep an eye out for the green bird as well—and he appeals to you with this heartfelt plea: "I love that bird.. He cost me six-hundred bucks."

True love is easy so to qualify with a price tag. I love this toaster it cost me 12 bucks.

I love my Prada bag even more. easy math. I don't remember what I paid for my darling cockatoo, because it doesn't actually matter.
