Last Night's Action: It's Getting Late

  • St. Louis 4 Rangers 3: Most the season, Henrik Lundqvist has carried the Rangers when they couldn’t put the puck in the net. Thursday night, he was the problem, allowing four goals against sixteen shots as the Rangers dropped their second-straight. The Rangers took a 2-1 lead on Marian Gaborik’s 37th of the year, but the Blues jumped ahead with two goals in the second period. Wade Redden tied the game in the third, but Paul Kariya put the Blues up for good just over a minute later.
  • Toronto 2 New Jersey 1 (Shootout): The didn’t play badly, but they lost to a bad team. Yann Danis had a pretty good night in the nets, stopping 25-of-26, but he allowed Toronto to score on all three attempts in the shootout.

Oh look, Paul Kariya is skating to the front of the net. One of you guys should maybe follow him and stop him fron an easy tap in. No? Oh, OK.

Dust off the golf clubs, boys. Your spring break is going to be a long one.

Yet another lackluster effort by the Rangers. Sloppy passing with some weak defense. Dolan, Sather, and Torterella should be embarrassed by this effort.

Note to the Rangers... you can't make the playoffs if you can't win at home. The difference between you and the Devils is pretty just in home record.
