Will Fox Score Conan?

conanfox.jpg Is Fox still courting Conan or does the network have the host nearly locked down for a future late night program? According to reports, he's been presented with the outline of a deal for a show on Fox, but no official offer has been made. This is according to the Hollywood Reporter, who note the talks aren't exclusive, and allegedly "O'Brien has been pitched about two dozen ideas for his next TV gig, including five or six legitimate enough for consideration." Meanwhile, TMZ reports that Fox execs have been in touch with several affiliates, "applying pressure" to put Conan on the air during the 11 o'clock hour.

I dont think Conan is funny either

Fox's Red Eye is very good.

Jimmy Kimmel is funnier than Conan, Leno or cranky old Letterman.

  • Kojak

I disagree, but at least Kimmel is better than Fallon.

Jimmy Kimmel ... funnier? Hilarious. he's probably the most insecure of the 4, and that's saying a lot.

Looks like Conan's career is taking a turn for the -- Better. As these things always do. Instead of being locked down to a staid franchise at NBC, he's got a comedy tour, a feature doc coming out, and a slew of options for late-night, including Fox who will likely pay huge for his services.

Uh-oh, hopefully this works out better for Conan than it did for Chevy Chase back in the 90s...

  • Kojak

The difference between Conan & Chevy Chase was that Chevy Chase is the most unfunny person in the history of humanity. So naturally his show would fail.

  • Kojak

Doooo it. I'll watch Conan over that turd Leno any day.
