Airport Shoe Removal to Continue

03102010shoe.jpg

Despite invasive full body scanners popping up at our nation’s airports, Janet Napolitano says you’ll still have to take your shoes off to get through security. According to the Homeland Security Secretary, shoes are so impenetrable that they can’t be fully screened while they’re on your feet, reports the AP. Too bad these never caught on. During a live video chat session, she also spoke to the shortage of air marshals on domestic and international flights, and about incidents, like the Newark airport kisser, where non-passengers cause security meltdowns by entering unauthorized areas. She said that for now only ticketed travelers would be allowed in secure areas but that "It may be possible to change that as we move forward."

In other words, they are too cheap to get equipment that can while they are on your feet. They have technology that can determine the type of liquid (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v... but can't scan shoes while on your feet? Use a full body scanner and stand on a wooden stool. Problem solved.

There are still people who have a problem taking off their shoes at the airport?

So fucking dumb, just tell the would be terriorists exactly what you plan to do to stop them, nice.

Travel with slip-ons. They will improve your airborne life.

What they can't improve are all the knuckle-draggers who act confused and perplexed when they're told to untie and remove their 20-eye boots.

No problem. If I'm a shoe-bomber, I'm gonna take a train. Thanks America.

Its so much easier to blow up a plane, probably with passengers on board. Put bomb in box, Express Mail or UPS or Fedex it overnight from NYC to California. 100% guarantee its going on a plane. And its also possible it will go on a passenger plane, because airlines sell unused baggage space on their passenger planes. Out of sight, out of mind. Remember to bring your parachute.
