Killed Car Thief REALLY Picked the Wrong Car

030310carthief.jpg We already knew that the former marine who allegedly choked a car thief to death in Queens Saturday night was a force to reckoned with. Weighing in at 240 pounds, the 6'3'' Daillard Paris had little trouble dragging 50-year-old Yaosse Agbokou out of his Nissan Altima, getting him in a headlock and choking the life out of him. Indeed, Agbokou could not have known who he allegedly was messing with, nor could he have anticipated how much Paris loved his ride. Today the Post quotes a neighbor saying, "He put so much money into that car. It had an amazing sound system." Ironically, Paris was so devoted to the Altima he even delayed moving to Brooklyn because "he was concerned about people stealing his car."

    Good riddance to bad rubbish.

DA: Did you order the code red?

Daillard Paris: You're goddamn right I did!

I am sure guy did not want to kill thief. Too bad for that thief he choked to death. It would be worse for Altima owner though if he survived and had some kind of medical issue so he would sue Altima owner for it :) This is how stupid law is here.

If he would not try to steal car everybody would be fine. I feel no sorry for him, I feel sorry for Altime owner who has to deal with the laws of courts here. I hope a case will be dismissed.

NYS PENAL CODE does not allow one killing someone over property; i.e., cars, home, or dog.

And I'm sure that the car owner's intentions wasn't to kill the thief. None of you were there, you didn't know how the thief reacted when confronted by PARIS, the thief may have been violent.

But the NYS PENAL CODE also classifies GLA as a felony.

So if you LIBS keep making excuses for the thief and villifing the car owner, then just give your cars to crackheads, car jackers, or any other mope that you so choose to so that I or any other taxing paying New Yorker doesn't have to.

Thank you Dillard Paris for for keeping my car insurance down and for saving my tax dollars!

Yeah, he put a lot of money into his car. It's his car. It's his money. The guy should not have been trying to steal it. Good for him.

Seriously fuck off anyone who disagrees, when you rob people, either of their car, the things on their person, or their house, you are taking a risk that they will kill you. That's what happened to this guy. He took the risk and lost. Fuck him.

Exactly. bad roll of the Darwin Dice.

  • ABSORB

I can't believe there are a couple people on here who think this guy should be charged with murder. You have a inherent right to defend yourself and your property and you can use lethal force doing so.

  • Not exactly. Read up on the law. You have the right to use lethal force when you are defending life, not property, unless you have a reasonable suspicion you will be killed while defending your property.

There is an important lesson to be learned from this story. And the lesson is that stealing other people's things can greatly shorten your life.

I'll bet this wasn't the first time Agbokou ever tried to steal something. However, for him, it was definitely the last time.

Wow, this is more deep stuff from just saying (what?). How clever! Can't wait for the book!

  • just saying

    Of course you can't wait.

In the meantime, give me your personal details and I'll make sure to put you on the list.

  • Chuck Schumer's Fat

This guy is an American hero. He killed for his car. He may have killed for Bush and Cheney's oil interests. But the price of gas still went up.

  • NannyState

There could be some irony in there, look in the glovebox...

Vigilante justice is for animals in the wild...not humans. Killing someone for trying to steal a car is wrong.

This testosterone case is a murderer.

  • Cannibal

talk about throwing around some privilege. I know some wild animals that would be pretty upset by that statement.

  • Cannibal

Last I checked, we are still animals. Queens is pretty wild too.

  • theplanetofchuck

We need a Batman. That is some vigilante justice I can get behind.

  • Global Wombat

...except that Batman doesn't kill folks for screwing with his riced out ride. Or in any case, for that matter.
