Snowy Tableau

2010_02_sm15.jpg

In a scene reminiscent of one of Calvin's snowmen massacres, reader Kelley snapped this photograph at McCarren Park on Friday. She wrote, "I don't know who made this scene but I invite anyone to make up their own story," adding, "About 30 minutes after this photo was taken, around five or six random kids made off with the snowman heads and poof! the scene was gone..."

Awesome! My friend Jaime (the commenter above me) and I made this scene...we went to lunch, came back 30 minutes later and some jerk kids had ruined it! I was very annoyed but it's nice to see that it will be remembered.

YAY! me and my friend craig made that! it took over 3 hours and it was tons of fun to make. i'm SO happy someone got such an awesome picture of it! we thought people might add to it or something but were totally surprised when we came back from a 30 minute lunch break to find it totally and completely gone. oh well.

But that site doesn't even include the "William Tell" snowman strip reprinted only yesterday.

Yes Jen! You mentioned Calvin's snow massacres! I've been trying to make that joke while I'm around some friends of mine and they never understand it. I'm glad Calvin and Hobbes is still alive in some minds.
