Paterson and Spitzer Still BFF

21910spitz.jpg Following a week filled with nonshells and
lazyshells (but no bombshells), there's really only one person who can feel Gov Paterson's pain and frustration, and help guide him through these times: the Spitzinator.

The Post reports that aides have confirmed that Gov. Paterson has been getting advice from his "disgraced predecessor" from time to time. Paterson is quoted as saying: "I don't remember Eliot Spitzer being in a conversation where he didn't have an opinion. And he has a lot of very good ideas about the way government should work, which is why the people of New York elected him governor in the first place." The former Governor has been slowly rehabilitating his image and creeping back into the public eye in the new year. There are rumors that Spitzer is considering running for office again eventually, and he has a vested interest in his hand-picked former-Lieutenant Governor.

But not everyone agrees with Paterson's assessment of Spitzer's "good ideas." Two anonymous government insiders quoted in the article mocked Spitzer's credibility, saying he had already been driving away his supporters well-before the sex scandal hit, and would have likely faced similar adversity to his re-election campaign as Paterson is facing now. As one source put it, "Advice from the guy who couldn't get along with anyone when he was in government?"

  • Anyone but Obama

Maybe they are already. Ha ha.

Delaying tax refunds is a great way to boost approval ratings. Why aren't more candidates doing it? Because it's plain stupid, that's why. Paterson isn't the brightest bulb on the tree, that's for sure.

Voters have to start thinking about the chain of command from now on. Look at Obummer. Biden is next and then comes Pelosi. Is that scary or what?

This is not at all surprising. David Paterson and Eliot Spitzer are together again. These two are hypocrites who belong together.

David Paterson makes domestic violence one of his signature issues, while at the same time gives a free ride to David Johnson, a women beater - what a hypocrite. Didn’t Eliot Spitzer make headlines by going after prostitution rings, and then personally solicited their services? Seems like Paterson and Spitzer are alike as two peas in a pod.

Paterson is just up not up to the task of governing. He does not have what it takes to govern effectively. “The Democratic Conference Organizational and Structural Report” detailing the workings of Paterson’s office while he was Senate Minority leader is an objective assessment of this clowns ability to manage or more precisely mismanage.

    http://www.politico.com/static/PPM110_demreportfinal.html

This scathing report indicated that Paterson’s Senate Minority office, headed by the supremely incompetent Michael Jones-Bey, was completely dysfunctional. Mr. Jones-Bey, a childhood friend of Paterson, who is now incredulously Director of Division of Minority & Women's Business Development at Empire State Development Corporation, was reported to be more interested in partying and boozing up with staff than working.

Wow! You can be a total bozo or even ex-felon, but if you work for David Paterson you get promoted for your incompetence.

At the end of the day, we must not only blame David Paterson for his failings. We must also lay blame to our beloved former love Guv Eliot Spitzer for failing to do his due diligence and putting David Paterson on the Democratic ticket.
