FDNY Brawl at Salty Dog Could Lead to Gang-Assault Charges

021910fdny.jpg Using surveillance video from that epic bar brawl at the Salty Dog in Bay Ridge, prosecutors have identified 11 people, including active and retired firemen, who may face some pretty serious charges. One captain and one lieutenant have been identified, and the Brooklyn DA's office is considering "slapping" the whole crew with gang assault charges, sources tell the Post. However, some prosecutors "are concerned that a gang-assault rap might lead to expectations of identical charges in future cases." It's true; once the public gets a taste of that sweet gang-assault justice, they'll never stop craving it!

    Oh the racist belligerent FDNY.

They are a gang that uses tax payer money.

There's something for Paterson to consider: If he wants mixed martial arts fights in NYS, how about some NYPD vs FDNY matchups? I might actually pay to see that.

I once had an argument with a woman in a bar who thought that Rescue Me was a totally inaccurate and unfair portrayal of NYC firefighters.

    I rest my case.

I walk by the Salty Dog nearly every day, and there's always a mob of loud, drunken firemen standing outside, yelling stuff at women and harassing people. This story is no surprise. You couldn't pay me to have a drink in that place.

I thought the only whites who could be a gang were italians?

if this was a group of black guys they'd be doing 15 years the papers and old ladies would be screaming 'whats wrong with society' 'there's something wrong their community/culture!

But its white guys so theres no reason to re-evaulate the caveman element that makes up most of the NYPD and FDNY. right?
