Live & Untelevised: Conan O'Brien

conanliveshow.jpg It seems that Conan O'Brien maneuvered a departure deal with NBC that would allow him to make public appearances, as long as they weren't televised. As such, the comedian and former Tonight Show host may be concocting a stage show until he can get back on the air in September. An insider told the NY Post that "There's nothing to stop him doing his show in front of an audience at venues like Radio City. It will build more buzz for him as he negotiates his next television contract. It will also keep Conan happy because he doesn't want to be out of the public consciousness for too long."

The Wrap backs the story up, saying Conan is already finalizing his plans "to hit the road in the next few months, performing a road show at venues in several cities across the country." Currently, however, he's showing the dolphins some love in Hawaii.
