Tonight Inside Edition promises to broadcast footage of Alec Baldwin lashing out at a photographer outside of his Manhattan apartment, an incident that took place last night following his short stint at the hospital earlier that morning. Police allegedly had to pull Baldwin off the photographer, who he charged after shouting: “This one here!”

He was taken to the hospital yesterday after his daughter Ireland called 911. It's now being reported that he wasn't found "unresponsive," but they had been arguing over the phone when he threatened to kill himself by taking pills. She told the dispatcher that he said to her: "I'm tired of this. I'm going to take some pills. I'm going to end this." However, when cops arrived he told them he took an Ambien and had no intentions of committing suicide. He says that his ex, Kim Basinger put their daughter up to calling 911.

A friend of Baldwin's told the Daily News, "This is another example of Kim's sickness. Alec came back from the hospital and there were cameras outside his house at 2 a.m. Gee, I wonder how they found out?" Baldwin still showed up at work at 7 a.m. yesterday, and returned home later in the evening to reporters still staking out his apartment.

It is sad, why would Alec let all this bother him so much, he's in pretty good shape regarding his career where as Bassinger is a memory from the past. Sad he lets her take so much of his temper.

Sounds like overwhelming bitterness/revenge has wreaked havoc on both. Kim B -- boy, if there are any truth to rumors, she needs some healing and major help.

Gotta love these shitty Boomer parents ruining the life of yet another young person by being even more immature than kids their daughter's age. Won't this generation die already?

    +1

these guys are the lowest of the low.

anyone can yield a DSLR and I've seen one of these guys insult the guy he's photographing, almost egging him on to get "that shot".

  • FrankMartin

"lowest of the low" really. There are a few baton wielding cops I might put below them. Not that you aren't right about insults, there is no "almost" about it.

Especially freelance still guys (paps etc) yell all sorts of shit to get people to turn their heads, react, get angry and even attack. That's how you get that "money shot". Even at "legit" news events and it can really drives tv crew nuts because they are recording sound.

I say take the bait get the hook. And an angry Baldwin is a big catch!

It may be unseemly, but there is another fact. The relationship between the famous and the fotographer is symbiotic (different things living together). PR reps call paps about the location of their clients all the time. The "candid" shots sell magazines and drive traffic online because people desire a peek behind the veil. Photos in those magazines, especially People, are very sought after by both the photographer and celebrities. And what I like is that pr flacks or the famous can't shut this down simply because you don't like the story.

Well you can shut it down, but not without giving something up like access in the future, which I guess means you didn't shut it down. An example, Tiger did that men's health cover in exchange for the Enquirer killing a story about his cheating. That was 2 years ago.

yeah, they're the lowest of the low.

them and their big cameras. whoa mr. cameraman.

you got a giant camera and all them extra cameras and them giant bags filled with cameras.

they weren't yelling to get attention, they were yelling insults trying to get smacked. if it bleeds it ledes.

  • FrankMartin

I these photogs or paps or what ever you want to call them.

Fuck celebs and the idea that we only experience them on the terms set by their pr reps. They want the pubic spotlight, well soak it up bitches. The good, the bad and the ugly.

The paps are a little touch of chaos theroy in action. Baldwin aside, I for one love to see carefully constructed celebrity lives and/or lies shattered. You can often count of a candid photo for that. Nevermind that taking someones picture on a public sidewalk is totally legal.

Funny how there was no hate for photogs when it was Madoff pushing his way through an unrelenting crowd of them. But then to HOTSTEPPER's point Baldwin does have much better hair than Bernie.

    Alec Baldwin is the man!

  • Gregoire

Boy, he's gonna be a barrel of laughs at the Oscars!

  • FrankMartin

He's a great actor, but man he needs to keep a cap on that temper. And stop blaming everyone else. Kim, the media wah wah wah.

  • Kojak

I for one can't blame Alec for his actions. The man is distraught. Leave him alone.

Too bad he didn't beat the living shit out of that photographer.
