Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition cover gal Brooklyn Decker has actually been living in Brooklyn for three weeks, and the Daily News quizzed her last night on her new stomping grounds. The 22-year-old (who was actually named after a horse named Brook) had no idea who Borough President Marty Markowitz was, but when asked what the famous Junior's sells she said, "Cheesecake. Of course the model knows the cheesecake answer!" Other check marks included knowing that Prospect Park was the largest park in the borough and being able to name four neighborhoods. All in all, a 3 for 5 score, which she says isn't too bad. Check out her appearance on Letterman last night after the jump.

From that interview she seems pretty funny and didn't have trouble putting a sentence together. I don't think it's fair to label her a bimbo automatically. With a body like that it almost seems natural to take up modeling in our society. She could end up being a brilliant business woman when her expiration date in the modeling world comes up.

Ms. Palin may not be an evolved human being but she's not quite that stupid either.... she figured out how to serve poo on a platter and have the masses pay to lap it up. This swimsuit model is benign in comparison. She's not trying to run for higher office; just trying to look hot on a magazine cover for a living. I believe the latter has more dignity.

She did better than most carpetbaggers that live in Brooklyn. One night my friends and I quizzed people on what team a Brooklyn Dodgers hat was for - out of about 100 people only about 15 knew what team it was for. Most said Red Sox.
