    scams are scams wherever you are, and whatever you do. one may be able to hide behind the goverment umbrella, but sooner or later he/she will have to face the indignant millions.

    Incorrect. The numbers given, as stated above and in the lined article, do not include overtime or bonuses.

    That's where my habit of quoting what I'm replying to pays off. It was obvious I wasn't really replying to your comment.

    Excluding professionals (lawyers etc), the city workers being paid 6 figures are the guys that got overtime pay steadily. What they should do is limit the overtime and use that money to hire more people. There's a lot of unemployed and under-employed people in the city that could use a steady job.
