Greatest Snowstorm Ever! (To Mostly Miss NYC)

Panic! Panic! Run for the hills! The AccuWeather.com website has already been practically paralyzed! Who will buy the last loaf of bread at Fairway before the overhyped storm of the century arrives?

To be sure, there will be plenty of snow from central New Jersey south to Washington DC. Less than one to more than two feet of snow to be imprecise. The city is going to be on the northern edge of the storm as it moves up the coast. Given the expected storm track there is likely to be a huge variation in snowfall amounts from Staten Island (lots) to the northern Bronx (a couple of inches). If the storm travels only a few miles further north than expected a lot more snow could fall on the city. A few miles further south and we'll just see a dusting.

The snow should start around midnight and last until early tomorrow afternoon. Regardless of the snow, tomorrow will be cold and blustery with a high in the upper 20s. High pressure behind the storm means several days of clear skies and cooler weather. If the city gets a good covering of snow morning lows will be in the teens with daily highs around freezing from Sunday through Tuesday. Adjust the temperatures up a few degrees if there is little snow.
