Red-tailed hawk in Central Park, by Yojimbot

Today on the Gothamist Newsmap: three suspicious packages in Brooklyn and Queens, a bias incident in Williamsburg, and a serious MVA in Astoria.
This Very Old House: there are a handful of old Dutch houses from the 17th and 18th centuries still in private hands in Brooklyn.
Lots of people have come up with clever, corny, and sometimes porny names for their WiFi networks: "dontstalkus", "wehaveroaches", "imcompletelynaked", "stopsmokingweed", and "Imunder-yourbed". Can you top those?
Prize for best weekend headline goes to The Post for "Savage Beagles Terrorize East End".

The photo is beautiful. I just want to add though, that I looked at the photographer's flickr site and he lists the photo as being taken at St. Nicholas Park in Harlem and not Central Park.
