Poster Boy Gets Arrested, Again

posterboy0110.jpg Poster Boy, real name Henry Matyjewicz, is up to his old tricks again. According to the NY Post, while he has been making good on his community service after pleading guilty to defacing subway ads—he's started up at his old tricks again!

Matyjewicz was arrested on January 22nd at 3:20 a.m. when a cop spotted him slicing up ads at the Jefferson Street L train station in Bushwick. He allegedly tried to sweet talk to officer saying it was his first time trying his hand at the mash-ups, but once his name was run through the system it was clear he was lying.

The paper also mentions that he was arrested for turnstile jumping in December, on the day he pleaded guilty to his defacing deeds. Currently the Brooklyn DA's office is aiming to get him sentenced to jail this time around. But that would be a shame, because those Valentine's Day subway ads are just asking to be messed with!

long live poster boys and poster girls!

  • theLtrain

The cops should be more concerned with other things at 3:20 in the morning at the jefferson stop etc etc.

  • Armchair_warrior

what a douche, a well do to white boy with idle hands think he is a artist. I hope he gets jail time.

  • bullelephantseal

haha jail time? maybe we should save whatever space our city/county jails have for real criminals. make this guy do community service instead.

  • Spirit of 76

Apparently, you can't read. He was arrested for this before and he already was doing community service. But that seems to have no deterrent value for him. So off to the big house this time. I'd like to see him sobbing like the pot dealer in Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle.

  • bullelephantseal

oh right, because people that go to jail and are released are never repeat offenders.

at least if he gets community service (again) he's being forced to do something positive in the community instead of tax payers wasting a shit load of money to keep him locked up.

  • Spirit of 76

Gee, why not give everybody community service? So what if it's the perp's third murder conviction? We shouldn't be wasting money keeping them locked up, right? Free Bernie Madoff!

At least repeat offenders don't re-offend while in prison.

    Hey Spirit,

Christ Almighty you're an idiot! Did you seriously just equate vandalizing a subway advertisement with triple murder?!?

Have you ever heard the concept of let the punishment fit the crime or do you think there are two big buckets, one labeled "legal" and the other "illegal".

How long have you been walking upright? Seems as though your brain hasn't fully developed. Do humanity a favor and have yourself neutered. We don't need more twisted, illogical thinking on this planet.

    Moron.

  • bullelephantseal

    thank you anti-christ.

a guy ripping up subway ads is not comparable to some who commits a violent crime.

  • dwayno

lol, maybe with some jail time he'll finally get street cred

  • Greenpoint60

Thats 1970's vandalism, at 3:20AM in 2010 he should have been home doing over Wikipedia instead

  • matty

Didn't we establish that there is no single "poster boy" doing this?

  • SighR

Sure but Henry Matyjewicz does it most often.

  • matty

    How do you know?
