Those Canadians and their high pressure systems will give New York clear skies through tomorrow. Plenty of sunshine is on tap for today and Thursday. Look for highs in the lower 40s and lows near freezing for both days.
The high pressure system will also act to block a weak storm from getting too close to the city on Thursday night. Because of the high the city will see considerable cloudiness but only a slight chance of snow or rain from late Thursday through Friday afternoon. Saturday looks to be the coolest day in more than a week, with a sunny high around 40 degrees.
You know those storms that have been slamming California all week? There were tornado warnings in Orange and Los Angeles Counties yesterday and 5-10 feet of snow is expected in the Sierras. Anyway, one of those west coast storms will make its way to the east coast by Sunday. Don't worry, crossing the mountainous west does a good job of neutering the storms, but we are likely to have a rainy, albeit warm, Sunday and Monday.
