Last Night's Action: A Scoring Drought
- Senators 2, Rangers 0: That's now twice in a a row the Rangers have been shut out. This time it was Mike Brodeur, a distant relative of Martin Brodeur, having the honors. The Rangers didn't allow a goal until one minute, 14 seconds remained, but that still cost them a point. That snapped a seven-game streak of earning a point and put the team's scoreless streak at 144 minutes.
- Coyotes 4, Devils 3: After rallying from a 2-0 deficit, the Devils fell in a decisive third period. Brian Rolston and Travis Zajac helped New Jersey erased a bad first period, but the third period undid their work. This loss was only the sixth for New Jersey since Nov. 21.
