These people shouldn't be allowed to own another dog. Obviously it wasn't being properly watched when it got out of the apartment, then ran up the stairs, and THEN jumped off the building. felix, the decision to euthanize was made by a professional, licensed physician for animals (a vet) who saw it best in the dog's interest to put him down. secondly, the dog was precocious and JUMPED off the roof.

Here's a suggestion. Before anybody can buy a papillon or French bulldog, or Boston terrier, or Chihuahua, or any other "pure bred" dog from a breeder or pet store, they should first be required to go to the local shelter and personally euthanize the dog they didn't adopt.
