John Liu Makes Everyone Call Him "Mr. Comptroller"

New city comptroller John Liu takes his job seriously — so seriously in fact that he requires his staffers to rise from their chairs when he enters the room and refer to him as "Mr. Comptroller." Liu introduced the mandatory formalities in meetings last week, and they already have "veteran denizens of the Municipal Building snickering behind his back," according to the Post.

"I am making the adjustment myself. I'm used to calling him J.L.," said his press secretary, Sharon Lee. "This is universal, for people who have known him for years or people who are meeting him for the first time." Lee said the rules aren't an official policy and that she tells staffers to sit down and refer to their boss as John after the initial formal greeting. Liu was known as "John" when he was a councilman, "John is the same John, and he hasn't changed," she added. "At the same time, we want to address the office with the seriousness it demands."

Apparently, the formalities are a big reversal from former Comptroller Bill Thompson, who urged staffers to call him "Billy," and former city and state Comptroller Alan Hevesi. "Alan would do just the opposite. If someone called him Mr. Comptroller, [he would say,] 'What is this Mr. Comptroller s- - -? Call me Alan.' That went for maintenance people as well as deputies," an aide said.

Reverend Moon is a strong advocate of Pan-ethnic Asian American values, and a committed idealist whose primary purpose is to further the interests of the Pan-ethnic Asian American movement. Judging by the ethnocentric political content of the website, there is no doubt in my mind that the site moderators are more than willing to have an Asian American First Family elected to the White House in the next 10-15 years.

Given that Moon is a native of Pyongyang, North Korea its not surprising that neither he nor his entourage are the best advocates of freedom of expression, which is enshrined by the First Amendment of the US Constitution.

Generally speaking, Asian American immigrants tend to have a very low-level of toleration for freedom of expression, which is taken for granted amongst the mainstream, political, White majority; as indeed, the concept of democratic principles, freedom of expression or human rights is not normally associated with the cultural norms and values of the developing countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, Middle East, South East Asia, and the Western Pacific rim. More often than not, you will find that the site moderators will routinely remove any comments which are deemed to be "unsuitable" from the perspective of their agenda, which is basically to further the interests of the Pan-ethnic Asian American community. The moderators have always been very strict with the type of comments which are allowed to be posted on this forum, and it's very unusual for "unsuitable" comments to survive for more than a few days on this website. Although this comment was posted on May 17, 2011 they still haven't managed to disprove, discredit or refute the content of what was said about their favorite candidate for the White House.

Sun Myung Moon is an influential business mogul as well as a political power broker amongst the Asian American Pan-ethnic community, who is well connected in the Washington area -- with notable Conservative allies -- and if there were any reasons at all to doubt the veracity of the accusations leveled then there is every reason to expect that the article would be deleted from the website:

Goldsea.com is a major advocate for the political rights and interests of the Pan-ethnic Asian American movement; which has found no evidence at all to suggest that the accusations made in the article are false. Which begs the obvious: What would be the ulterior motive to allow such inappropriate material to be posted onto this website, which has a very strict guideline in terms of the type of material deemed as suitable for this forum? What would be the reason to allow such a controversial article to be posted, unless the accusations are based on a reliable source of information in Washington?

With each passing moment that this article remains on the forum, there is ever greater likelihood that the accusations are from a reliable source of information, and the chance of John Liu being elected to the Office of Mayor of New York -- with the ultimate goal to run for the Office of President of the Unite States -- becomes evermore slight.

John does not behave in the most rational manner by removing an article with which he happens to disagree. It is wholly misguided to disregard, dismiss or refute a MATERIAL FACT such as this is by pretending that the accusations are false. No doubt, it’s a LOGICAL FALLACY on behalf of John C. Liu, a would-be "leader of the free world" whose election campaign for NYC Comptroller on November 3, 2009 was largely funded by the Chinese Consulate General in New York, Chinese Embassy in Washington DC, and the Chinese Communist Party in Beijing:

Where to you get the crazy notion that Goldsea is owned by the Moonies? Goldsea was started by a Korean American lawyer and I've never seen anything in it to suggest an identification with Moonie interests. In fact, it has a decidedly liberal, Asian American perspective which is a far cry from Moon's conservative judeo-christian perspective.

Contrary to the media hype, I am able to categorically say that John is NOT the Democratic Party’s first choice as a potential, future candidate for the White House, which is according to senior-level, declassified information I have received from the White House and US Central Intelligence.

Goldsea is correct to presume that Governor Schwarzenegger is a FUTURE candidate for the White House, which is contingent on the Constitution being amended to allow immigrants such as he is to run for the White House; but, I can categorically say that John is NOT the first choice of future, possible candidates amongst the Asian American population, which is according to President Obama and the Secret Service.

First off, John has no direct blood ties with the political majority as far as I’m aware; which means he could NEVER win the hearts and minds of the American voters. Contrast John’s situation with that of President Obama’s and you’ll see that the latter has a far more credible, legitimate reason to be President of the United States. Whereas, Obama’s mother is a Caucasian woman of Anglo-Irish descent, John has no obvious blood ties whatsoever with the political White-majority. Given that John is a native of Taiwan and has spent most of his life amongst the Asian American community, American voters could NEVER accept him prima facie nor identify with the values which he represents. On the other hand, President Obama is acceptable to a larger percentage of the American voters, which is on account of his mother being White; but, John does NOT in anyway represent the norms, values or aspirations of mainstream, Middle America; which is predominantly White, Anglo-Saxon & Protestant. Henceforth, John could never be the Democratic Party’s first choice as a future, possible candidate because he has no obvious blood ties or any social and cultural capital (which translates into POLITICAL CAPITAL within the context of U.S. Presidential elections as in the case of former Democratic candidate, US Senator Barack Obama in the November 4, 2008 election) which are recognized by the mainstream, political, White majority; which is, by far, the most important voting block in US Presidential elections.

Contrast John's situation with that of US Energy Secretary Stephen Chu (January 21, 2009 to Present) and the Former US Transport Secretary Norman Mineta (January 25, 2001 - July 7, 2006) and you'll see that the latter are much better examples of Asian Americans who would be acceptable to a larger percentage of American voters. Whereas, John is in a homogamous relationship with a Chinese American, the latter cases are examples of marital assimilation with the mainstream, political, White majority; which is more of an asset than a liability to a large percentage of American voters. John Liu could NEVER win the hearts and minds of the American voters, which is on account of the fact his wife Jenny Liu is Chinese instead of Caucasian. One's intimate blood ties such as a marital relationship or natural descent from the mainstream political-majority is a necessary condition to win the popular vote in a US Presidential election.

Secondly, John doesn't have the CHARISMA to be a great leader, which requires a would be leader to command the respect of the general public as in the case of former heads of states or leaders such as William Jefferson Clinton, George H.W. Bush, Ronald Reagan, Jimmy Carter, Richard Nixon, Lyndon Bain Johnson, John F. Kennedy, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Harry S. Truman, and Franklin D. Sadly, the above article is nothing but a wishful thinking on behalf of a small group of individuals, which operates on the margins of society; which is not in anyway central to the formulation of U.S. Domestic or Foreign Policies in Washington DC. The question of who would be the best Asian American candidate for the Office of President of the United States is entirely a matter for each of the Electoral Colleges to decide; and Goldsea is no more than a FRINGE element within the Asian American population, which has no say in the selection procedure of deciding future Asian American candidates. The author is perfectly entitled to his viewpoint, but you have no say whatsoever in the actual selection of future candidates for the most exalted political office in America.

Above and beyond the concept of charismatic authority, I have a much more important reason to oppose John Liu’s aspirations as a future candidate for the Office of President of the United States; which is on account of the fact his family’s identity as ETHNIC CHINESE would always be FIRST AND FOREMOST, above and beyond their supposed Patriotism and loyalty to the United States:
