Hell Hath No Fury Like An N Train Scorned

php94ndBePM.jpg Hey, remember that Twitter account that was posting snarky take-downs of riders on the N Train? Well, sounds like the author behind the account is getting served a little taste of his own medicine, courtesy of some sleuthy Gothamist commenters. They launched their own investigation and quickly tracked him down:

It is very easy to figure out who this person is. Since he's obviously in love with himself, who do you think the first person he is going to follow/be followed by on Twitter is? His own Twitter account, of course. If you look at this person's followers/people he follows, it's simple to figure out his identity (sort of an idiot after all).

Not to mention that he has an unprotected Facebook account (this person's real Twitter account is his own full name) on which he gleefully boasts about his N train gossip on his wall... and it say's he's from Pennsylvania (wompppp wompppp). Too easy, too easy.

The gentleman in question is one Pete Malachowsky, who in addition to having a passion for subway critique, also seems to enjoy working out, eating Pocky sticks, and wearing fake mustaches. And now, he's got a twitter account dedicated to posting snarky takedowns of him. For instance, "@petemalachowsky How does it feel to #fail at the internet as well as tweeting? The lowliest Gawker commenter can write better snark." BURN!

Maybe he should have messed with the R Train instead!

cool, now if a potential employer googles his name they find this gothamist article talking about how creepy he is.

    serves his creepo ass right.

good thing my name just happens to be "the situation," apparently i share it with some guy on E! or something.

  • ilovejapgirls

and i thought he wanted fame....

  • ERICfkngCROSSLEY

hahahaha i just checked his facebook and he made it private, I guess he knows that everyone is trying to see how much of a douche he is.

  • Spirit of 76

He did that earlier this morning. For now, it's still cached on Google, and it's possible to see some of the people who call him a "friend." Friendship on social sites is far less discriminating that it is in person.

  • JacqueMehoff

he's pissed his fame game backfired.

    kudos to the sleuths.

  • TKaisen

So, wait, complaining about people eating, clipping nails, and talking on their phone on the subway is only OK if Gothamist commenters do it?

  • Spirit of 76

It's one thing to complain about it. Quite another to invade somebody else's privacy by attaching a photo. Subway pervs are fair game, but even though it's legal, it's unethical to go around taking identifiable pictures of people going about their own business just so you can make fun of them. And he's not even complaining about anything that affects him. He was trying to feel superior by mocking others, for instance being snide about a woman's Mickey Mouse mp3 player.

right. right. so i can see how its morally ok for the people basically stalking him. its funny, those people bitching about how horrible he is, what theyre doing is even worse. kinda loses the point of their argument in the first place. all he does is take pictures of random people and make a stupid comment. but this whole twitter based only on HIM... its kind of a little weird if you ask me. way to let him effect your life dramatically.

  • Spirit of 76

How is anyone stalking him? They're pointing out nothing but what he put on the Net himself. As privacy experts always say, never put anything on the Net that you wouldn't want revealed to the world. Where were you when there were people here posting names, address, age and place of employment of those they claimed were animal abusers, even though they admitted the information was unconfirmed? No, wait, don't answer that. I see now that you registered just to comment on this story. Nice going, Pete.

Another person in a long list of people who are in love with themselves.

  • NannyState

Self-love may be the only thing this friendless scourge has left.

His facebook is still up. He doesn't care.

  • flower84

OR- is it EXTREMELY interesting? because all you morons are doing are encouraging him. he clearly doesnt care that people know it is him. look at his twitter. seriously though, why do you even care? and why are there TWO articles dedicated to this? (he's getting what he wants, if you ask me. and i say, good for him! HA!)

  • Spirit of 76

If he likes all this attention and doesn't care that people know it's him, why did he take his Facebook page down (see the link in the article)?

  • KiraK

I think there is not a thin line between embarrassment and protecting oneself from gothamist stalkers.

  • Spirit of 76

Oh, please. Despite what many commenters write here, they're mostly Internet tough guys who wouldn't give him the time of day if they saw him.

  • azzh01

Are you kidding me - I looked at his tweeted photos and they are ... everyday people on the subway.

Nothing remarkable at all. It's kind of sad he thinks these are interesting.

  • whitecastlerock

A snarky queen residing in Queens–what a shock

  • Gothamist_Cynic

  • KiraK

  • keb12

Pete's been snipped! I'm sure hell be hiding once people sees his facebook profile picture. So stupid!
