N Train Riders Unknowingly Documented

php94ndBePM.jpg Yesterday we saw what douchey dealings were happening underground, on a website that tracks them via user-submitted photos. Someone then pointed out a new Twitter account called N Train Gossip which includes a 140-character takedown of each victim the author snaps a photo of. Consider this a warning N train riders! Seems a little harsh, too — this photo was accompanied by the words, "Ummm... nice Mickey Mouse mp3 player, grown Asian woman." (It's cute!) However, this nose picker had what was coming to him. Seems NYC is no longer the place where everyone is invisible.

Outing rude behavior through websites and sneaky photos does nothing to solve the problem.

If our intrepid shutterbug really cared he would ask that rude person to move their bags, close their legs, stop picking their nose, etc. in public. Instead he sneaks a picture and pokes fun through the safety of the internet.

I notice he went from outing rude behavior to slipping in style critique and prejudices against overweight and homeless people.

N train riders will be on the lookout for this little creep. Someone just might mistake him for a peeping tom as they bust one across his chops. Gee officer, it looked like he was trying to take photos down that woman’s shirt..

I dunno. I rode the N train for ten years and it was pretty douche-free.

But I wish someone would take on the E train! =)

  • charliebear

    what a douche...

  • rfid4dna

Glad they figured out who this was. Not only was it tacky and cruel, it was unfunny and not well-executed. People of Walmart on the other hand...

...also, let's not forget the progenitor, Cliff Yablonski.

It's not a big deal. It's some bullshit on twitter and people are talking about it. That's what people do.

  • ilmiotutto

wait, why is this such a big deal?

    like honestly, who cares.

  • Wonder why my last comment was held for moderation. Anyway, his name is Pete Malachowsky, as discovered by the above posters. More info at my Twitter.

http://ow.ly/UPa4 Would make a lovely background for your (awesome!) Twitter if you ask me!

  • KiraK

ummm... that's kinda creepy. Are you not encouraging a witch hunt? cute.

that guy is a cowardly, unfunny, dumb fuck.

seriously, people: simply having a camera does not make you clever.

  • LB

Sadly, This is what our society has devolved into . Taking pics of unsuspecting folks on the train like it's nothing . People really need to get in touch with whatever is bugging them and resolve it before they end up getting caught and somebody beating the shit out of them ! Seriously, Go develop a drinking habit, Smoke cigarettes, Cigars, GET SOME ASS ! Do something that doesn't involve violating innocent people's privacy .

It's possible to do good things with photography on the subway. See Travis Ruse's Express Train photolog (unfortunately long since discontinued but still online). But this guy is just a prick.

  • nivek

The N is bad enough as it is, leave us the fuck alone.

  • NannyState

Is it too much to ask for a little privacy when I take a dump in my subway seat?

  • JacqueMehoff

I would look for a guy not minding his own business or not reading the paper but holding it as if he's reading the paper.

It is very easy to figure out who this person is. Since he's obviously in love with himself, who do you think the first person he is going to follow/be followed by on Twitter is? His own Twitter account, of course. If you look at this person's followers/people he follows, it's simple to figure out his identity (sort of an idiot after all).

Not to mention that he has an unprotected Facebook account (this person's real Twitter account is his own full name) on which he gleefully boasts about his N train gossip on his wall... and it say's he's from Pennsylvania (wompppp wompppp). Too easy, too easy.

  • Repo Man

Never mind, I figured it out. Compare this pic from Google's cache with his current Twitter:

  • CVJ

Well done! I don't know how you did that, but thank God for Google's cache, huh!? (Glad to see this guy is also an asshole in his regular Twitter too.) If anyone who knows him sees this, they should kick his ass on behalf of straphangers everywhere.

  • Repo Man

Thanks--just in case he protects his page, here's what his Twitter looks like now:
