A man was shot and killed after a dispute in a backroom pool hall in Williamsburg on Saturday. The victim — whose name has not yet been released — was shot in the chest just before 4 pm in a billiards room behind a Broadway bodega, reportedly by his drunken uncle.

According to sources quoted in the Daily News, the fifth homicide of the year occurred after an uncle and his nephew got into a spat in a pool hall behind Maria's Grocery. "[The uncle] was drunk out of his mind," said witness Abdul Qudduss, 46. "They were arguing and he said he was going to get a gun." The shooter retrieved his weapon and shot his nephew, before staggering outside, the tabloid reports. "He came out here and waited for the cops to come," Qudduss said. "I didn't think he knew what was going on."

According to the Post, three men were brought to the precinct for questioning, and all of those involved, including the victim, were Spanish-speaking immigrants. The Daily News reports that police have one man in custody, but no arrests have been made.

the "good times" remark was sarcastic, dumbass. i was simply stating that i have heard many violent-sounding arguments emanating from the back room of that deli & that i happen to live nearby. ie, a "fact." i can see you're unfamiliar with those.

good times, i can see my building in this photo

there was ALWAYS sketchy shit going on in the back room of that deli though. would regularly walk in & hear people tearing each others' heads off [verbally at least] over "business" deals gone wrong. plus their dog needs to make it behind the butcher's counter somehow.
