Bar Brawl Victim Sues Pubs For Serving Underage Perp

A man who was beaten by an underage drunk in front of a Wall Street-area bar is suing the pubs that served the young boozer and police who purportedly witnessed the brawl and didn't break it up.

Shane Buggy filed suit in Manhattan Supreme Court over the incident last September, in which he claims that an "underage, intoxicated, disruptive, violent and disorderly" Brian Tierny roughed him up. The suit goes after the watering holes Ulysses Folk House on Pearl Street and Hook & Ladder II on John Street for allowing Tierny to drink despite "prior knowledge of both his age and his penchant for violence," the Post reports.

And Buggy is suing the city because police officers allegedly saw the fight, but drove away without doing anything.

"That area" is now full of the young and wealthy, office buildings are converted into horrid condos and apts as fast as they can be.

And yes, a bar should be sued for serving an underage person, and they should be sued and fined whether or not that person commits a crime. It's just a shame that no one ever cares unless problems arise.

What makes them horrid? The fact that they are expensive?

learn something new every day. bars do good business, even in that area.

Suing them sounds fine. They can sue you now for serving alcohol at your house if someone gets into an accident so they should be able to sue these establishments.

If you're a douchebag looking for a night out, look no further than Ulysses' Folk House. Icky food, surly service, and overpriced liquor are enjoyed each night by jerkoffs from all over.
