Midtown Stabbing Doesn't Faze Young Witnesses

2009_12_csi.jpg Evidence of where culture is taking us— from the Post: "One homeless man stabbed another outside a Fifth Avenue church last night, but kids in the passing Christmas crowd of tourists and hardened New Yorkers were hardly traumatized, one mom said. 'Their mommy watches a lot of murder shows and 'CSI,' so they're used to it,' Dania Concos said of her children, who were with her when the argument escalated in front of St. Thomas Episcopal Church at 54th Street at 6:45 p.m." Though the victim was stabbed in the chest, arm and face, his injuries are not considered life-threatening.

And what if the psychotic homeless man started stabbing the little kids? Would it faze Mommy then?

  • HOTCUP

imagine what jersey shore, an arguably worse show, can do to desensitize our children.

"i think i just cheated on my boyfriend"

  • NannyState

Indifference is the new meaning of Christmas.

  • unsunghiro

People are idiots...nice to teach your kids that violence is acceptable before giving them new junk aka Christmas presents to celebrate what's truly important in life, having junk. I sincerely hope that lady had a fat ass to remind her every time she looked in the mirror what a waste of space she is.

I don't know how anyone can just stand there and watch someone being stabbed, let alone with children. Is Dania Concos the mother or a baby sitter?

"Their mommy watches a lot of murder shows and 'CSI,' so they're used to it"

    Yuck.
