Following last year's unauthorized holiday art show at the Columbus Circle Subway Station, Mat Benote and Jordan Seiler have curated another one — which went up at about 1:30 this morning.

Will Sherman from Animal headed over to get some shots before the MTA puts an abrupt end to the holiday cheer. He reports back saying eleven artists turned "a 200-foot long pedestrian tunnel at the Lexington Avenue/53rd Street Station into a public gallery," with a mix of studio and street artists all decking the halls.

I'm confused - this says that the art show was at 53rd ST/Lex. NOT Columbus Circle. Yet, you say, "Following last year's unauthorized holiday art show at the Columbus Circle Subway Station, Mat Benote and Jordan Seiler have curated another one — which went up at the same subway station at about 1:30 this morning." So was last year's at 53rd ST/Lex and not Columbus Circle?

I find this somewhat confusing too, but the picture is clearly of the 53rd st station. And that tree wasn't there by the time I visited that station yesterday afternoon.
