Every Day Is Jersey Shore Day

snookislap1209.jpg MTV's Jersey Shore has an unofficial cast member: Queens gym teacher Brad Ferro. Tonight was going to be his big scene, when he sucker punches real cast member Snooki in the face. The network, after using the clip in promos to generate buzz, has decided to pull the scene from the episode (despite their history of airing violence).

Now the Post is telling Ferro's side of the story, or what he can remember from it. The 24-year-old is currently suspended in a "rubber room" by the Dept. of Education, and worries he'll lose his job. He told the paper the first time he saw the video was when a prosecutor screened it for him, "I was sick to my stomach. I couldn't believe that I'd ever do anything like that. I was raised to act in a respectful manner to women."

He goes on to claim he remembers the punch, but not who he punched or why. His lawyer says he deserves a second chance, saying, "I think he's a decent young man who, unfortunately, made a bad decision which has come back to haunt him." Ooh, ooh, MTV, why not spin this off into a new reality series where Brad and Snooki live on a deserted island to work out their problems? Maybe Stephen and Irene can join them.

Nope, sorry Guido Ferro. Your well-documented actions, regardless of provocation, prove you unqualified to be a teacher or any other government employee. Never watched MTV and never will. Union or not, toss him from the "rubber-room" without pay, make sure any future employer knows his history. If the city keeps this dbag on in any capacity, any future settlements should come from the UFT pension fund, not from the taxes that are paid to educate our children. Wasted or not, when he puts some sixth-grader in a friggin coma because they dissed him we're supposed to pay? Fail, go away, go work in your uncle's pork store or dairy barn. but no longer burden taxpayers with your infantile BS.

  • This is a brilliant move by MTV... now everyone will pony up for dvds with the "unaired footage"

    Shake 'em, not punch 'em.

    Sheez.

Seeing the clip with the audio of the situation puts the punch in a little more context.

I have to say I have a little less sympathy for Snooki...

  • hotstepper

    where is the clip?

  • PKMKII

Hmmm, yes, the fact that she wasn't being submissive and meek about this meathead taking her drinks means she deserved to be sucker punched, despite not having laid a hand on him.

Still more context reveals that the guy was harassing her for a while before she said anything to him. I'm not usually one to defend guidos, but the guy is 100% at fault here. And a "decent guy" doesn't punch a girl in the face, regardless of how drunk he is, or how annoying the girl is being, imo.

Next season on MTV: "Rubber Room".
