If Spitzer Runs For Comptroller, So Will Madam Kristin Davis

It must be Spitzer Hooker Day—Madam Kristin Davis, who claims that former governor Eliot Spitzer was one of her clients (he allegedly got rough with her girls!), updated her blog to announce, "Client number 9 is talking to potential fundraisers and political consultants about a comeback bid. If Eliot Spitzer runs I will also take the plunge and enter the Democratic Primary for New York State Comptroller. I am confident I can gather the necessary signatures to get on the Primary ballot."

Why does Davis want to run against Spitzer? She says, "I will run firstly to highlight the inequities and sexism in our criminal justice system which penalizes women, minorities and poor people while wealthy, connected white men like Eliot Spitzer evade justice. Our system that allows Spitzer to walk on money laundering and violating the Mann act (transporting a prostitute across state lines), but sends Plaxico to prison for seven years for shooting himself in the foot is ripe for real reform." Well, actually Plaxico Burress agreed to do two years, but we get the point.

Last month, Davis complained about Spitzer's gig at a Harvard ethics center.

The fact that Spitzer is even considering running is a sign that this megalomaniac hasn't learned a thing. I look forward to casting my vote for anyone but him.

I would vote for a Bluefish over Elliot Spitzer.

Anyone who seriously overlooks his recklessness, narcissism, cheating and hypocritical ways, and who defends his acts as some sort of forward thinking statement on sexual liberation (I've heard this ignorant plea) should be deported to a country where people still blush, and their leaders pepper their media with sex scandals, fake acts of war and 100 stupid "news" reports whenever anything meaningful comes up in their governance... oh yeah, that's us about now.

Clinton and his tramps; Spitzer and his tramps, Tiger, his tramps... etc. Did we suddenly run out of degenerate movie stars to distract us?

Nonetheless, Spitzer is a money laundering, cheating, hypocrite who should have been convicted for his felonies so we would not have to think about him again, ever. I put him in a class with child molesters, war profiteers and date rapers.

It was his idea to accuse people he chased for headlines and higher office of cheating and having children out of wedlock with their co-workers to force them to take a plea, which didn't work. It's the idea of a small man who projects his own insecurities and weaknesses onto others. Goldman Sachs trained him well.

He is a shameless sociopath, one more charming schemer who's helped wreck America in spite of his broadcasted intentions. It's undeniable, no matter how much money, power, influence he has accumulated over the years. It's to lose sight of the fact he knew better than anyone that what he did was dead wrong. And a vote for adulterous Elliot is aiding and abetting his crimes.

He is boring and so is his tramp getting a job with the British in New York.

I don't know if I'd vote for her, but her point is well taken. The disparate enforcement & legality of prostitution is messed up; if you actually want to stop prostitution, especially the worst aspects of it, go after johns.
