A Chill Wind Blows

Wind chills from weather.com
Low to the north of us. A high to the south. Wind, wind in between. Until the pressure gradient lessens tonight the west wind will be blowing 20-25 mph with higher gusts. Combine that with the first day since early March in which the temperature probably won't reach the freezing mark and you've got a brisk December day.

The wind should ease by tomorrow, leaving us with sunny skies and a high in the upper 30s.

Sunday is kind of a mess. It looks like a weak coastal storm will to nip at the heels of the departing high pressure system. The city will probably see snow changing to rain during the day on Sunday. Colder areas further away from the coast may have to deal with a bout of freezing rain. Temperatures are expected to rebound to near 40 in the city and reach the mid 40s on Monday.
