Too bad the TV news has been running this a hundred times a day. This should have been kept under wraps, especially with only one janitor's word. Guess making the Facebook publicized it. Even if the Facebook makers were young students, they should think about who they are hurting.

How was this rumor leaked beyond the school? This matter was supposedly reported by the janitor to school administration. So how did the allegation spread beyond them? What malicious gossip couldn't resist leaking the "news?" And what kind of principal would allow his teachers to be exposed to public ridicule and embarrasment? Unfortunately, these two women have already been tried and convicted by popular opinion.

No doubt the Facebook page, which is publicly accessible, was the source. It's been up for more than a week with apparently only some kids from the school discussing it as a rumor, then suddenly reporters showed up at the school asking about it.

There's also a version of the story, by the way, that doesn't say that the janitor reported it but that he gossiped about it, starting the rumor at the school. Another version, early on the Facebook page, though, says it wasn't a janitor but an administrator who caught them. And another that says the janitor told an admin, who then "saw it for herself." One kid claims to have been told by a teacher that it happened "outside the school."

All of which comes down to... for the most part this is still based on rumor.

The janitor was probably peeved because they wouldn't let him watch.

I'm just mildly skeptical about this story. Others have noted how this is the plot of...basically every porno ever made. Plus, at least one of these women is married; this by no means excludes the possibility of a relationship with another woman, but it does decrease the likelihood. Finally...at school? In an unlocked classroom? That's incredibly reckless.

It's kind of a remarkable story all around -- and it's supported (as far as I can tell) only by the word of a janitor who just happened upon them. So is it true? I've got no clue -- but people do lie all the time, for all sorts of reasons.

You're right on the mark. Last year I was falsely accused of something by a teacher in my school and sent to the rubber room. Believe me, the DOE, with the assistance of the "genius" principals from principal's academy, uses the rubber rooms to intimidate teachers and to try to get them to quit. Whenever a teacher signs a greivance aganst a principal, she or he will be sent to the rubber room. Afterall, the pincipal can't have that--he needs to get his raise. They want to get rid of tenured teachers because the Fuhrer that the city has for a Mayor does not believe black and hispanic students deserve good, but expensive, tenured teachers. Only the kids in the suburbs deserve to have money spent on them. When will the people in the city wake up to the fact that Adolf Hitler is alive and well and is back in power?????
