Video: Thugs Caught on Camera in Violent Jewelry Store Robbery

Well, here's surveillance video of armed thugs running amok in a Far Rockaway jewelry store on November 28th, in broad daylight. After locking two employees in a bathroom, the thieves handcuffed a third employee, who tries to casually walk away at the 50 second mark. He almost makes it out the door, but is dragged back in and thrown to the floor. A second escape is attempted but quickly thwarted by a hooded perp disguised as a Jawa. Honestly, this employee is lucky he wasn't [SPOILER!] killed.

Police tell 1010 WINS the suspects escaped from Gold Fashion Jewelry, located at 2125 Mott Avenue, with a large haul of jewelry and cash. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.

lesson here is if the store people had guns those thugs would be shot.

Lesson Two is that if we were in a place where the store keepers might have guns, they probably would've been hurt very very badly from the outset to keep them from having a chance to use them.

As violent crimes go, that was positively a kiss on the cheek. After the first blur tried to escape, I'm surprised they didn't beat the living hell out of him to make sure he didn't do it again. That take trip and shove down was violent, but not brutal.

That said, I hope these guys are caught and sent to prison. Mind you, I normally say "I hope these guys are caught and put to death" for most crimes, but this one was just so... bullyish but not brutal.

You would think they would wear a belt when committing a crime. When that warehouse owner in Harlem shot those thugs with the shotgun, they found one of them lying across the street with his pants around his ankles.
