Rollercoaster Weather Week

This week's forecast is all over the place as the weather spasms its way from fall to winter. It starts on a warm, wet note and looks to end with cool, dry conditions. In between it could be an interesting ride. Along with light rain, we will see temperatures holding steady in the mid 50s through this afternoon.

The cold front producing the precipitation will arrive early this evening, bringing with it brisk winds, drier air and a considerable drop in temperature. Tomorrow will start off in the mid 30s and only reach the upper 40s with a mix of sun and clouds.

Wednesday and Thursday could be interesting. A storm developing in the Southwest today is expected to move across the southern U.S. tomorrow before heading up the East Coast on Wednesday. The storm is currently projected to pass west of the city. If it stays west it won't do the whole nor'easter thing. Instead it looks like a very rainy, yet warm Wednesday night and Thursday. Thursday's high could again be in the mid 50s. Cold air will follow and the first freeze of the season may arrive on Saturday morning.
