The folks at PNC Financial Services are once again providing some perspective during the holiday shopping season. They've released this year's Christmas Price Index, "having tracked the cost of each of the gifts in 'The 12 Days of Christmas' for the last 26 years. In 2009, the total Christmas Price Index — the cost it would take to purchase all of the items — reached $21,465.56, which was the smallest increase since 2002." And once again, sex sells, "nine ladies dancing" are the most expensive gift on the list this year — Bloomberg News has the full breakdown.
