Mounted Unit Cop Injured During Power Outage

2009_11_mountunit.jpg Ouch: According to WCBS 2, "A member of the NYPD's mounted patrol unit was on the mend Saturday after a fall down a flight of stairs. The officer was inside the stables at Pelham Bay Park in the Bronx when a power outage left him in the dark." Apparently a tree fell on the power lines! The officer, who is expected to make a full recovery, did suffer neck and back injuries and may also have a broken leg.
