- Kings 109 Nets 106: Well, this was the one game of the Nets' road trip that the team could have won, but they lost it and are now one loss away from tying the NBA record for the most consecutive losses to tie the season, as they are 0-16. And they probably will tie the 0-17 record, since their next game is against the Lakers on Sunday.
As for last night's game, Sacramento never trailed and NJ couldn't keep the Kings from scoring. The Nets' Brook Lopez did have 24 points and 11 rebounds while Devin Harris had 25 points .
- Lightning 5, Rangers 1: Henrik Lunqvist has been a rock for the Rangers, but he wasn't that on Friday night. He gave up four goals on just 22 shots and helped ruin coach John Tortorella's first game against the team that fired him after the 2007-08 season. The Rangers entered this game with the best penalty kill in the NHL, but the Lightning had two power-play goals. Ryan Callahan had the lone Rangers strike with just over two minutes remaining.
- Islanders 3, Penguins 2: For the first time this season, the Islanders won after trailing following two periods. John Tavares had the game-winner with 6:12 remaining to help turn a 2-1 deficit into a 3-2 win. Josh Bailey and Sean Bergenheim also had goals as the Islanders bounced back from Wednesday's disaster at home.
- Devils 2, Bruins 1 (SO): Another game, another record for Martin Brodeur, who bagged the win and became the NHL's all-time minutes leader in the process. He passed Patrick Roy for that mark and came up big in a shootout.
- Nuggets 128 Knicks 125: Denver's Carmelo Anthony scored 50 points in a close game. The Knicks' Al Harrington led the team with 40 points.
