Graphic designer/urban planner Candy Chang has created a set of flash cards on New York tenants' rights that she tells us, "translates scary legal jargon into a fun and friendly format." Learn about painting your apartment, privacy, security deposits, rent stabilization, repairs, and all the other fun stuff you get along with being a tenant.
The 30-card set is for purchase, and the $10 goes to the non-profit Tenants & Neighbors.

these are cool. I wish we had something like that in Chicago.
This is a REALLY good idea. I wish I had these when I was 17 to demystify the rental process and not be such a chump. Ah, well.
Comprehensible, self-explanatory, visually stimulative, even the color is just right. A lot of people will find this useful.
Anyone with Photoshop and Illustrator skills can make something pretty. But this is graphic design at it's best. Well done, Candy Chang!
I'm waiting for the Deluxe Tishman-Speyer Edition.
Hahaha! Just never satisfied are you?!
I wish I had these when I first moved to NYC! Actually, I could probably still use them now.
