oh, no doubt legions of young teenage girls were all waiting to get into hard drugs but thought to themselves "there just isn't a street name that speaks to me and my interests" until twilight brand heroin hit nyc.

if the dea didn't wield real power they'd be hilarious.

Marketing drugs to young people! Brilliant!

Until this move by these so-smart drug dealers, most of the heroin in this country was sold to elderly grandmothers, and carried brands like "Matlock" and "Golden Girls". This apparently is the first time drugs were sold labeled with a reference to anything current or that appeals to "teens and young adults."

Too bad, now we're going to lose a whole generation to this menace.

Good point. Now pardon mne while I go bang some more "Bea Arthur" in my veins...

"a DEA official explained, "They’re selling heroin with the brand name of ‘Twilight’ in order to be attractive to teenagers and young adults.""

More bullshit from the scum at DEA. If drugs were legal, they would be out a job,, and we'd save billions.

I knew a drug dealer who was caught with $250,000 in cash. The DEA logged $125,000 and pocketed the rest for themselves! Who is the criminal?

Also, I know the owner of a large storage facility in Jersey that DEA rented to store confiscated drugs before incineration. The night before the burning, he caught them loading a few bales of pot into their car trunks. They didn't speak to him, but just fingered their pistols as a warning to keep it quiet.

Real scum.

the drug war is full of stupid contradictions and outrageous statements that appeal to somebody.
somebody out there actually believes that children are in danger because of a drug brandname called twilight.

drug brand names are catchy so addicts can identify
what works, and dealers frequently use ironic pop culture references to identify their product.
cutting your supply too weak, rebrand it and create a new buzz. same old drug, same dumb customer base.

if theres a kid who will od on heroin and thought the twilight logo was a great incentive, do you really want that kid driving your bus or teaching your own kids years later, good riddence.

Clayton Patterson has a nice collection.

The real scum are the heroin dealers and users.
Twilight is a very appropriate name for that trashy drug.

Palin may help decide who the next Republican Presidential nominee will be? If that comes to pass W would look like Thomas Jefferson.

Just make the drugs legal and drug dealers will go out of business.
