Brooklyn Paper Editor Makes Real Real Estate Porn

2009_11_kuntzman.jpg

This isn't the first time that Brooklyn Paper Editor Gersh Kuntzman has gone too far in his web videos. He has already posed nude and documented himself using the bathroom, but it's safe to say that nothing he — or any semi-reputable journalist — has ever done will make you feel as uncomfortable as this PG-but-very-suggestive video.

While taking a look at Brooklyn's most expensive apartment, a three-story, $25-million penthouse in DUMBO's Clocktower Building, Kuntzman (full disclosure: my former employer) creates a literal piece of real estate porn in which he violates the residence in many ways. Expect nudity, moaning, and a truly creepy moment when he appears to lick the washing machine.

How much money do you think he knocked off the $25 million asking price?

good lord! what was this man thinking?

OMG yes. I need to live there. so bad.

maybe it was frank gehry's dick tower being built on the manhattan skyline that was getting him so hot. i mean other than the elevator shaft.

"Kuntzman", eh?

Sounds Jewish.

Seriously, I think that name may be at the root of this man's obvious psychological problems. He must have been teased relentlessly at school.

guy loves huge clocks, what are ya gonna do?

I hope the realtor scrubbed the place down with about 1000 gallons of bleach after that. Even so, the value must have plummeted. Imagine you bought the place and at your housewarming party someone pulls up that video on their laptop.

The most effective exorcism there ever was.

Come on Gothamist, don't give a desperate attention whore what he craves...

sigh...

My advice: Gersh, don't give up your day job just yet.

$25 mil for Dumbo, Brooklyn. Don't think so.

Things have spiraled downhill for Gersh ever since he lost his Newsweek gig.

Why can't he just pose nude for the F train?

The apartment is beautiful. Thanks for the tour. But this explains a load about Bpaper's porny reporting.
