Last night, former CNN personality Lou Dobbs appeared on Bill O'Reilly Fox News program to discuss his departure from the cable news network. Dobbs blamed the new guy in the White House—and how CNN doesn't want to rock the boat, "You know, I discern more of a difference between then, which was under the Bush administration whom I was criticizing, and now, when it is the Obama administration and an entirely different tone was taken."
He added that CNN wanted to be more the in middle, relative to Fox News' right-leaning slant and MSNBC's more lefty angle when Obama took office "I don't know whether that was the distinction that triggered any sort of response or a difference in perspective on the part of CNN's management, but it is the only difference between the way I was conducting myself under this administration and the previous administration." (The Post noted that Dobbs was given $8 million in severance to leave his contract 18 months early.)
O'Reilly also asked if Dobbs would run for a NJ Senate seat; Dobbs only said, "A lot of things are on my mind, I'm not going to be coy about that... My wife and I are thinking about a lot of opportunities. I'm very blessed that I have a lot of opportunities. I guarantee you 100 percent I'm going to remain in the public arena." O'Reilly threw an opportunity at Dobbs—a semi-regular contributor position.

If by rocking the boat you mean condoning the murder of a nine year old girl, then yeah...

What is wrong with being in the middle? To quote Chris Rock:
Republicans are fucking idiots. Democrats are fucking idiots. Conservatives are idiots and liberals are idiots.
Anyone who makes up their mind before they hear the issue is a fucking fool. Everybody, nah, nah, nah, everybody is so busy wanting to be down with a gang! I'm a conservative! I'm a liberal! I'm a conservative! It's bullshit!
Be a fucking person. Listen. Let it swirl around your head. Then form your opinion.
No normal decent person is one thing. OK!?! I got some shit I'm conservative about, I got some shit I'm liberal about.

Lou didn't "rock the boat." He spray-painted the bow with racial epithets.

I'm neither a lefty or a righty, but I think it's a shame the NewsCorp building is still standing.

I'm sure his Senate run will be as successful as his Space.com venture.
