Two types of people who never pay for drinks: wiseguys and Lindsay Lohan.
"ormer Yankee John Wetteland apparently tried to commit suicide"
It's not being reported that he attempted suicide. From the linked article:
"The Seattle Mariners, for whom Wetteland is the bullpen coach, say he was there because of an elevated heart rate. But the Denton County Sheriff's office said that a woman at Wetteland's home called police requesting help. "She said he was complaining of being depressed and contemplating suicide"
'Comtemplating' does not the same thing as 'attempting'.
I can't find any article online that says there was a suicide attempt. Well, except this one on Gothamist.
Thanks, I amended it to "possible."

Thanks, but there's still no report that he made any kind of attempt at suicide... "possibly suicidal person" is not the same as "possible suicide attempt," or the Post's own "possible suicide."
It appears that he was hospitalized because he said he "needed help," and he was likely contemplating suicide. It does not appear that he took any kind of action to do so.
That image is very cool. I wonder if the fact that the rider is female, blonde, and pretty affects her earnings positively or negatively.
That depends on whether she can pedal backwards.
