Weekend Swine Flu Vaccine Clinic Locations Announced

2009_10_swineflsch.jpg The Health Department's first weekend of H1N1 vaccine clinics weren't very well attended, prompting officials to open up the clinics—originally just for students—to people in other priority groups on Sunday. This weekend, the Health Department will continue its program offering the free vaccine in the five boroughs to people in these groups:

  • Pregnant women;
  • Anyone 4 years through 24 years of age;
  • Persons 25 through 64 years of age who have underlying health conditions that increases risk of severe illness or complications*; (*These conditions include asthma, diabetes, chronic heart and lung conditions, kidney failure, or a weakened immune system)"

    H1N1 is airborne, washing your hands does little to protect you.

    Hope these are better run than the flu clinic I just tried to go to at the Pavilion in East Union Square. Couple of hundred people, 2 security guards, no organized lines (the security guard couldn't figure that one out), basically chaos.

    feel free to use the shot that i will not shoot into my system for no reason other than this b.s. hype and corrupt your own well being for some imaginary mumbo jumbo that will weaken your system.

  • pudeljung

    What about schoolteachers who don't fall into the above categories, but come into contact with hundreds of kids from the 5 boroughs every day????

  • JMH

    Should I infer anything from the fact that my zip code isn't listed?
