Heathen Pol Sorry For Comparing His Faith To Greek Orthodox Beliefs

Councilman-elect Dan Halloran (R-Bayside), a devout heathen, has apologized for comparing the role of animal sacrifice in his faith with Greek Orthodox Easter traditions. After coming under fire yesterday for linking the role of "blood sacrifice" in his religion, Theodism, with Easter lamb roasts, the incoming Councilman said he was sorry if he "inadvertently offended" any Greek Orthodox constituents in his Queens district.

"I think it is vitally important that my constituents know I respect them and their faiths and traditions, as they do mine," Halloran said in a written statement published by the Post. "Accordingly, I apologize to his eminence Archbishop Demetrios and to all those of the Greek Orthodox faith or other faiths that might have taken offense."

Halloran's faith has become an issue when he has compared it with other religions. The former cop and lawyer's apology comes one day after Greek-American Assemblyman Michael Gianaris (D-Queens) condemned Halloran's comparisons between Theodish and Greek Orthodox beliefs. Just before the election, Jewish supporters of his Democratic rival attacked the Republican for comparing the role of animal sacrifice in his pre-Christian religion with Kosher dietary laws.

  • Why can't he just apologize for the belief that the sacrifice of living beings has any correlation to the effectiveness of religious doctrine (that BTW throughout human history is the cause of more death and suffering than just about anything else)?

His obvious mistake was "comparing" them, when in reality he should have said something like "based upon" as in, "All your Christian religions are *based upon* my Pagan religion".

    just sayin

  • Yeah, those two brands of crazy people who believe magical invisible elves will help their special invisible "souls" are nothing alike! Pay no attention to the strict rules on blood sacrifice in the Bible-- that has NOTHING to do with blood sacrifice & frankly you should apologise for thinking it does.

Does anyone really care about this except for the self-righteous politicians who look for any inane excuse to promote themselves and try to appear morally superior when we all know they are the lowest form of parasite?

Queens is a sorry state for electing this ignorant jungle man!! He should sacrifice himself to his pagan Gods and leave the animals alone. I wish we can get rid of the city council. They are useless. We have Gallagher, a convicted rapist, we have this pagan animal sacrificing asshole, we have crooked penny robber Simcha Felder and the best of all is Christine Quinn. Quinn who is a CLOSETED Republican and FUGLY. Quinn is so DISGUSTING.

Did I say how much I hate QUINN?

I would like to know more about his belief if it's true that it's one of the more white supremicist leaning ones.
