Yankees Fans Celebrate 27th World Series Win In True Bronx Fashion

Last night—and into this morning—the city celebrated the Yankees' 27th World Series win. Of course the win also meant that New York fans got to gloat over Phillies fans—check out the photographs above, taken by reader peterkreder, who witnessed various acts of fan superiority outside Yankee Stadium.

One told WCBS 2, "I'm so excited,. I live in Philly, I have to deal with their fans all my life. And I'm so happy they finally won. I have lifetime bragging rights." A "lifelong" Yankees fan told the Daily News, "I'm feeling like this is the most special moment in life - except giving birth." Another declared, "We found Pedro's daddy. He's from Japan, and his name is Matsui."

And it's unclear whether this was victory related, but there was even a stabbing outside the stadium.

I think there is such a thing as sore winners- the burning phillies stuff is a little over the top.
I mean we're all happy we rocked their socks off, but I'm not going to go punching phillies fans' teeth out...

Soo lame this sport.. go watch soccer!

I was up there... it wasn't as bad as this is making it out to be. I only saw one arrest (I think the guy was smokign weed).

So, some drunk guys burned a Phillies hat. If that's the worst of it, Yankees fans kept it pretty classy.

Thank you for posting these pictures. Herein lies evidence validating my distaste for the neanderthal, doo rag wearing, thugged out guido, prototypical Yankee fan. They are rocking the freshest of Yankee gear, jackets, shirts complete with price tags still on the hats tilted on angle. The rosary beads are fresh too...

Really? You think no one wears a doo rag under a Phillies cap? Or Mets? Or a Red Sox, White Sox, Cubs, Twins, Dolphins, Fighting Irish, Huskers, Beavers, Canadiens, Knicks, Bengals, Celtics, Red Wings, Hurricanes (Miami and/or Carolina), Dodgers, Giants (pick one), or Jets cap?

Uh what part of neanderthal prototypical YANKEE fan did you miss in my comment. I was commenting on my distaste for this particular flavor of goon. There are plenty of cavemen who root for other teams-that is not my point.

Yankee fans wear doo rags?

Yes see 4th picture-Yankee fan with doo rag-skull cap type thing under the gang colored Yankee Hat

Ah. I forgot those can be worn under baseball hats. I guess I'm not a layered headwear type.

so Donald Trump ok, Jay-Z less so?

Oh, so if you wear a doo rag, you're not allowed to root for the Yanks?

there was very little violence (minus one stabbing) No one flipped police cars, no fights...lots of screaming in thee faces of Philly fans...but a very fun, celebratory atmosphere. Classy (to an extent) as it was mostly a fun filled atmosphere. Philly would be under marshall law right now.

i hear that marshall is drakeonian

Proof that Yankees fans are douches
