Bernie and Rudy, in happier, post-9/11 times.
As expected, former NYPD Commissioner Bernard Kerik accepted a plea bargain and has pleaded guilty to a variety of corruption charges which could land him in prison for 27 to 33 months, according to the deal. Today Kerik pleaded guilty to eight felonies, including lying on his application to be the director of Homeland Security, cheating the IRS, helping to prepare false tax returns and making other false statements to the federal government.

By pleading guilty, Kerik pulled the plug on three pending federal trials, but Judge Stephen C. Robinson warned Kerik today that he could still sentence him to however longs he deems appropriate. According to the AP, Judge Robinson warned Kerik that the maximum sentence for the counts to which he was pleading was 61 years in prison, and Robinson reminded the court he was not bound by the terms of the plea agreement. Sentencing is set for February 14th. Valentine's Day!

With luck, this means that Rudy's chances to win any more elections have gone up in smoke. Not that they were good to begin with.

they were good, and probably still are. i hope not.

That photo will make a great negative campaign ad.

God help me I love that pic

Yeah, it looks like the two spouses at a gay wedding.

I hope Judge Robinson gives the admitted felon Kerik the maximum 61 years.

let's hope the judge follow judge denny chin's lead in the madoff trial regarding sentencing.

Thats totally a "Prison hug" right there!

If I were a sadistic guard I would have have tape of thug Giuliani and his "wife" at the World series on a loop and force kerik to watch it from his cell.

A great man pleads guilty when he did just like everyone else in this nation and was the best commissioner we had in NYC?

I am hoping that there will be no jail served here and its just a sham, but it just makes me realize how pathetic prosecutors are. There are plenty of people on the loose who are a threat to society and to the people who live in it. Kerik was not and was targetted for political reasons.

This is a total outrageous travesty of the system of american jurisprudence and shows to me why I no longer believe in the system and the rule of law. You can indict a ham sandwich and you can ruin a good man. Total UNJUSTICE AND A TOTAL OUTRAGE!

The OUTRAGE is that the admitted FELON Bernard Kerik was ever in any position of authority. And yes Bernard Kerik is a THREAT to society. He was the Mafia's man on the inside and it is OUTRAGEOUS that he was even nominated for Director of DHS.

Bernard Kerik plead GUILTY. He is, by his own admission, a CROOK. Here's hoping he gets the full 61 years. He is nothing but a Mafia boot-boy. Let Bernard Kerik rot in prison with his fellow FELONS.

Bernie? Is that you? I didn't know they had free wi-fi in jail.

Why so down, Bernie? You're about to have the best sex you've ever had.
