Court Orders Jim Nantz To Pay Ex $916,000/Year

2009_11_jimnant.jpg After some sad testimony, Jim Nantz, the CBS sportscaster, was ordered to pay his ex-wife $916,000 a year in child support and alimony. According to the AP, "Nantz must pay $72,000 a month in alimony until either he dies or his ex-wife remarries, and another $1,000 week in child support for their 15-year-old daughter, Caroline, for the next two years...Nantz acknowledged that he began dating a 29-year-old woman before his divorce was final." Nantz does make $4 million/year from CBS and has another $3 million in "yearly assets."

i'm all for decrying divorce court sexism, but admitting to an affair is just plain dumb.

You know why divorce is expensive? Because you get what you pay for. Best money he'll ever spend. He can get by on the other $6 million a year that he makes while he's banging his 29-year-old girlfriend.

I don't get why some guys dont get prenups.

like sir paul mccartney said after his most recent divorce from that scab, heather mills, a prenup is just not a "romantic" thing to bring up before you make your supposedly life-long commitment.

romance is dead once big bucks are involved

The best prenup ever written won't mean anything if the marriage lasted for years and produced children. Life's realities will trump a legal contract written many years ago.

$72K a fucking month in alimony??????

he looks like quite the A-hole in that picture.
almost like another a-hole charles grodin.

Can NY get no-fault divorce like every other state?
It makes no sense that it still does not really exist in this state besides the whole written separation agreement for a year thing.

That's one ex-wife who won't be rebounding anytime soon. At $916,000 per year, she can afford two cats.

The more cats she has = the less likely she'll remarry = more years of collecting $72K/month!

having seen upclose what ny divorce does to men - I have to say to anyone with a brain - dont ever, ever get married. ever. you're an idiot if you do.
