I guess Japanese people are known for its longevity, at 75 I cant imagine myself doing what she did. Im totally impressed.
Yeah Seiko! She was chuggin' right along out there. And as you can imagine, the crowds (and us fellow runners) were going absolutely nuts for her. It was incredible. I remember thinking that even though she could probably hear it all, it's too bad she couldn't see the smiles on everyone's faces as she approached.
Ha! She went right by where I was standing on 4th Ave in Brooklyn. I actually made a note to look her up Sunday night to see where she finished. Way to go!
